Who we are

  • This Privacy Policy explains how TASHUS PTY LTD (trading as TashuMove, "we", "us", "our") handles personal information collected through our website and mobile apps that enable drivers to earn by relocating vehicles (pick-up and drop-off) across Australia. We are based in Sydney and handle personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). OAIC

Scope

  • This Policy applies when you visit our website, create an account, complete driver verification, accept/perform vehicle relocation jobs, contact support, or otherwise interact with TashuMove.

1) What we collect

  • Depending on how you use the platform (driver, customer, or visitor), we may collect:
  • Identity & contact: name, date of birth, profile photo, email, mobile number, residential/ mailing address.
  • Driver eligibility & compliance: Australian driver's license details (number, state, class, expiry), right-to-drive confirmations, insurance details where required, and ID images/selfies for verification.
  • Vehicle & job data: pick-up/drop-off addresses and timestamps, vehicle details (make, model, registration), job instructions, and pre/post-trip photos for condition reporting.
  • Location & device data: precise GPS location (including background location during active jobs), route, timestamps, device identifiers, app/OS version, diagnostics/crash logs.
  • Payments & payouts: bank details for driver payouts; transaction records for customer payments. (Full card data is handled by our PCI-DSS compliant payment processor; we do not store full card numbers.)
  • Support & communications: in-app messages, emails, support tickets, feedback, and marketing preferences.

2) How we collect

  • Directly from you (account creation, document upload, job activity, support).
  • Automatically via cookies, SDKs and similar technologies when you use our website or apps.
  • From third parties (identity verification providers, payment processors, analytics/communications providers) where permitted by law and consistent with your expectations.

3) Why we use personal information

  • We use personal information to: provide and improve the platform; verify identities and eligibility; match, route and manage jobs; enable safety and fraud-prevention checks; process payments and driver payouts; provide support; communicate service notices; comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms; and—where permitted—send marketing you can opt out of at any time.

4) Location data (Drivers)

  • For drivers, precise location is essential for routing, proof of pick-up/drop-off, time/distance calculations, safety, and accurate payouts. While a job is active, the app may collect background location so we can display status and complete the job. You can disable location in your device settings, but the service may not function correctly without it.

5) Cookies, pixels & SDKs

  • We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the site/app, remember settings, measure performance and improve services. Some third-party tools (analytics, crash reporting, maps, messaging) set their own cookies/SDKs. We follow OAIC guidance for organizations using tracking pixels/technologies under the Privacy Act and APPs. You can manage cookies in your browser settings; disabling certain cookies may affect functionality. OAIC

6) When we disclose personal information

  • We may disclose personal information to:
  • Service providers that host, store, verify identity, process payments, provide analytics/crash logging, communications and security;
  • Customers/vehicle owners as reasonably needed to complete a job (e.g., your first name and arrival status);
  • Professional advisers (lawyers, auditors, insurers);
  • Authorities/regulators when required or authorized by law; and
  • Business transferees in connection with a merger, acquisition or asset sale.
  • We require service providers to protect personal information, use it only to deliver services to us, and handle it consistently with this Policy and the Privacy Act.

7) Overseas disclosures

  • Some service providers may be located (or store data) outside Australia. We take reasonable steps to ensure recipients handle personal information in a way that is consistent with the APPs (APP 8), including by using appropriate contractual safeguards where relevant. OAIC

8) Direct marketing & your choices

  • We comply with Australia's Spam Act 2003 (Cth). We send commercial electronic messages only with the required consent, we identify ourselves, include contact details, and provide a functional unsubscribe in every message. You can opt out anytime using the unsubscribe link or by contacting us. ACMA

9) Security

  • We implement technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal information against loss, misuse and unauthorized access, modification or disclosure (APP 11) — such as access controls, encryption in transit where appropriate, logging and staff confidentiality obligations. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure. OAIC

10) Retention

  • We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes in this Policy (or as required by law). When no longer required, we take reasonable steps to de-identify or securely destroy it.

11) Access & correction

  • You may request access to the personal information we hold about you and request correction if it is inaccurate, out-of-date, incomplete, irrelevant or misleading (APPs 12/13). We'll respond within a reasonable time and may need to verify your identity. OAIC

12) Data breaches (NDB scheme)
